Think Tank & Investment Committee
We strongly believe in a team approach to investment management and make it a daily quest to ensure that all our clients' investments are properly allocated and in line with their personal goals and objectives. We have a Think Tank and Investment Committee who work behind the scenes to oversee all investments and serve as a resource to our advisors.
The Visionary Think Tank
Under the guidance of Tim Hammett, Visionary Founder; John Fischer, Brad Keene, Taylor Knight, and Nadia McIntosh provide in-depth research for our Visionaries and manage the assets of the firm. They developed and follow a disciplined research process that covers numerous criteria, all for the purpose of ensuring client assets are allocated properly to meet their goals.
The Think Tank meets daily to review client portfolios and to discuss investment strategies with our Visionaries. This team approach means every Visionary client has highly experienced CFPs and Portfolio Managers working in their best interest to help them build wealth and achieve or exceed their goals.
The Visionary Investment Committee
Our Investment Committee, led by Chief Investment Officer John Fischer, meets quarterly to review the investment processes our Think Tank is using, and determines if any changes need to be made to client portfolios. The Investment Committee monitors all investments for performance and results. This is a senior level committee devoted to ensuring our clients’ portfolios are always on track with their goals, and that we are providing the best investment opportunities the market has to offer.

Visionary Wealth Advisors is an independent Registered Investment Advisor, and like all independent firms, we have no proprietary investments to sell, nor have any incentive to recommend funds that do not fully benefit the client. But unlike most independent firms, we have not set any limits for ourselves.
Our Visionaries have access to the whole world of investment choices. Every recommendation we make is specific and personal to the client, based on their unique situation and life goals.

Two of our Visionaries are founders of local charities, and our whole team actively supports these nonprofit organizations, Swing Fore Hope and Edwardsville Neighbors in Need.
Swing Fore Hope
Visionary Founder, Brett Gilliland and his wife, Julie, founded Swing Fore Hope after Julie’s mother, grandmother, and two aunts were all diagnosed with cancer within a seven-month period. Soon after, both Brett’s and Julie’s fathers were also diagnosed with cancer.
Swing Fore Hope raises money for cancer research and to help families through the financial hardship that comes with battling cancer. They help with mortgage payments, medical bills, transportation to and from treatments, medical equipment, Christmas gifts and other needs.
Each year, Swing Fore Hope has a golf tournament at Sunset Hills Country Club in Edwardsville, IL, which is the main fundraising event. They also have a horse racing event and a 5K and Fun Run. Since 2007, Swing Fore Hope has raised over $300,000 for cancer research for Siteman Cancer Center, and to directly help families.

Edwardsville Neighbors in Need
Visionary Managing Director, Chad Opel and his wife, Kathie, founded Edwardsville Neighbors in Need along with their family. It began as a stand-alone fundraiser to benefit the Greg Seibert Foundation after Chad’s stepfather suffered a spinal stroke.
After witnessing the success of the event, and the outpouring of generosity in the community, the Opel family was inspired to form Edwardsville Neighbors in Need to help other families experiencing financial hardship from a medical crisis.
The fundraising events are extremely popular. Taste of Edwardsville, which involves area restaurants and provides an evening of great food and entertainment, is now in its sixth year, and sells out. The other fundraiser is the Turkey Trot, a 5K run on Thanksgiving morning, which not only raises money, but allows the participants to burn all the calories they need to before indulging in their Thanksgiving dinner.

Jay Fox and his wife have created Safepacks. SafePacks is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides children ages 0-18 who are in the foster care system with a bag filled with essential needs as well as comfort items.We primarily serve communities in St. Louis and surrounding areas.
