Roger entered the financial services world by chance, after he sold a business he owned. He answered a recruitment ad from Farmer’s Insurance, seeking entrepreneurs. He took the job and fell in love with hearing people’s stories and helping them get to where they wanted to be. After a year at Farmer’s, he went to Northwestern Mutual, and was a Financial Representative and Field Director for seven years before coming to Visionary Wealth Advisors. He saw that Visionary opened up another playing field for his clients and gave him the opportunity to expand the products and services he could provide.
Roger attended St. Cloud State University. He most enjoys handling the complexities of estate planning for clients, from both the investment side and insurance side, and helping them achieve their vision for their legacy.
Roger and his wife Tracy live in the country on the outskirts of Troy, Illinois. They have a son in college, a son in middle school, and a daughter in kindergarten. Their boys play baseball and their daughter is a gymnast, so much of their time is spent watching their kids play and compete. Roger is a Shriner and a Mason, and supports Swing Fore Hope, Triad High School Athletics and Shriner’s Hospital.
