FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
Tim Hammett is the Co-Founder and President of Visionary Wealth Advisors, an independent financial planning firm with locations in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, and Florida.
Under Tim’s leadership, the firm is expanding its Values-Based Financial Planning Model, which provides an elite concierge of services in the areas of investments, financial planning, estate planning, and insurance services. The essence of the model is to clearly understand what is most important to individuals and then integrate their values into the financial plan that Visionary Wealth Advisors design and manage.
As a lead architect of Visionary Wealth Advisors, Tim has built a trusted team of professionals to perform and build long-term financial security for the clients and the firm.
Tim believes that financial planning is very personal. The first comprehensive plan he developed was for his own parents, which was designed to reflect their core values. Tim’s father worked in the public utility sector for 40 years and was looking forward to his next stage of life. When Alzheimer’s cut his father’s retirement short, the Family’s values were upheld and this experience became the basis for the successful business model Visionary Wealth Advisors enjoys today.
Tim is a graduate of the University of Missouri, Columbia where he earned his degree in Personal Finance. Tim is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER and Accredited Estate Planner. He has worked in the greater St. Louis metropolitan region for over 25 years exclusively in the wealth management industry. He is married to Ami and they have three beautiful children; Luke, Drew, and Rachel.
Tim believes that the joys and gifts we are given should be returned and has embedded this value at Visionary Wealth Advisors where every team member is encouraged to support causes. Tim created a charity, “Casting for Hope”, and actively supports the St. Louis Archdiocese Ministries, Life Teen, Alzheimer’s Association, and the Crohn’s – Colitis Association, among others.

Trust:
Trust is a gift that is given. When people build a relationship based on vulnerability and truthfulness, trust will grow.
Respect:
Respect is something earned over time. When a person consistently acts with integrity, one might earn the privilege of respect.
Humility:
Humility calls a person to put their ego aside and serve another. Being fully present to focus on the other person’s needs.

Casting For Hope
In 2018 Tim went on a mission trip to Uganda, Africa. During his time there he fell in love with the children of Uganda. The children’s hearts were filled with joy and optimism! They had a passion for education and a desire to achieve a better life. Upon returning home, Tim and his wife, Ami, decided to establish a non-for-profit charity to support the children of Uganda. A key tenet of their charity is help others who want to help themselves.
Casting for Hope is a 501c3 nonprofit organization established in 2018 by Tim and Ami Hammett, committed to helping financially challenged children and young adults of Uganda receive a University level education.
Life Teen
Tim and his wife Ami have been involved with Life Teen for over 20 years and participate annually in the national Life Teen conference. It was through this organization that Tim and Ami became aware of the tremendous need by the teens and young adults in Uganda that later provided the inspiration for Tim and Ami to launch the Casting for Hope Charitable Foundation in 2018.
Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation
The mission of the Crohn’s Colitis Foundation is very personal to Tim and his family. In 2015 Tim’s son, Drew, was diagnosed with severe Ulcerative Colitis which had a dramatic impact on Drew’s life. Tim and his family are committed to advancing the technology and research to cure these types of debilitating diseases.
The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-fueled organization dedicated to finding cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and improving the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. Tim and his wife, Ami, have been actively involved with this charity since 2015.
